Scavenger Hunt and Witch-A-Palooza

Every year Corey's mom and sisters do a Scavenger Hunt at Gardner Village with the grand kids. They have different clues that lead them to specific stores, and then they get a bag full of stuff from that store. It is a lot of fun! This year was different though. After the Scavenger Hunt all of us girls went to the Dinner Theatre program at The Gathering Place called Witch-A-Palooza. It was a blast! The whole audience at times were out of their seats and dancing and singing. It was a lot of fun. And the food was great too.

RSL Game!

Last Thursday a few of my co-workers and I went to the very first RSL game in the new Rio Tinto Stadium. It was a blast, but VERY cold of course. The stadium is way nice. I didn't watch most of the game because my co-worker Megan and I were too busy "HAT watching". I don't know if it was just around us but for some reason, people were wearing the weirdest hats. I must not have got that memo. Check these out

So, anyways we had a good time. I don't know how many games we will actually go to because as Corey puts it "Soccer is not very action packed". I would be up to go to more games, but next time I will be dressing warmer, and maybe pack some of those nifty hand warmer things. I bought some Hot Chocolate at the game, it tasted good, but the best part was it was keeping my hands from freezing!

Office Party to watch..."The Office"

My co-workers and I are huge fans of "The Office"! Thank you NBC for finally returning our favorite witty and awkwardly funny show to the television screen, now we finally have some new material to laugh about at work! Besides the classic "That's what she said!". Anyways, we decided to have a BBQ and then watch the finale and then the premier. It was a lot of fun, and a big thanks to Brad and Kristin for letting us crash your house and theatre room to watch our favorite show. Honestly, I think I work with the best group of people ever. We are all so close, and there's no drama, which is rare when you have a kabillion girls working together!! I love you guys! Let's do that every week =)

Our New Table....mostly to look at!

When Corey and I got married, my boss gave us his table, since they were getting a new one. We were very grateful at the time, because we couldn't afford much. It was a nice table and it served us great for 3 years, but recently I have been thinking that it's time for a change. While walking thru Down to Earth at Gardner Village, I saw the exact table I have been wanting. So I put it on hold (since it was on clearance) and came home to tell Corey the good news. I couldn't believe it when he told me that I could buy it. When we went to look at it, Corey asked me "Are you as happy as I was when I got my gun?". And of course I said yes. So anyways, it is a beautiful table and I love it. It is a counter height table with four chairs and a bench. I don't know how much we will actually eat on it, since most of you know I don't cook much, but at least it is pleasant to look at. We will probably use it for games more than anything. Anyways, thanks babe for letting me buy it. And don't think that you can use this as an excuse to buy more hunting stuff, because you already own the entire cabelas store =)

By the way, does anyone else think that we need to replace that hideous 80's style light above it? If so, please let Corey know how ugly it is!

Hike up Big Cottonwood

On Friday night Corey and I drove up Big Cottonwood canyon and went for a hike. I haven't been hiking in FOREVER, but it wasn't so bad. The sun was getting close to setting as we arrived at a good spot for Corey to pull out his scope and look for deer (the reason behind the hike). It was a beautiful view from where we were and it was very peaceful! Extremely quiet. I was getting a little nervous because of all the Bear stories you hear about. I was keeping an eye out the entire time, making sure that no bear of mountain lion were creeping up on us. Boys are so funny, I don't quite understand why they love this stuff so much. We didn't see any deer, but it was still good to get out and actually do something somewhat physical.
