Our New Table....mostly to look at!

When Corey and I got married, my boss gave us his table, since they were getting a new one. We were very grateful at the time, because we couldn't afford much. It was a nice table and it served us great for 3 years, but recently I have been thinking that it's time for a change. While walking thru Down to Earth at Gardner Village, I saw the exact table I have been wanting. So I put it on hold (since it was on clearance) and came home to tell Corey the good news. I couldn't believe it when he told me that I could buy it. When we went to look at it, Corey asked me "Are you as happy as I was when I got my gun?". And of course I said yes. So anyways, it is a beautiful table and I love it. It is a counter height table with four chairs and a bench. I don't know how much we will actually eat on it, since most of you know I don't cook much, but at least it is pleasant to look at. We will probably use it for games more than anything. Anyways, thanks babe for letting me buy it. And don't think that you can use this as an excuse to buy more hunting stuff, because you already own the entire cabelas store =)

By the way, does anyone else think that we need to replace that hideous 80's style light above it? If so, please let Corey know how ugly it is!

I love your table! I really like the color and style of the chairs, good find Shari! Gotta love Down to Earth...We just bought a bed from there, and now I want more! I would TOTALLY replace that light (are you listening Corey?) You want your dinner guests to feel relaxed, not stressed because they are sitting under the 'interrogation light.' LOL

LOVE the table...in fact, that would be the exact table I would choose if I could afford one. Sadly, we still own our $100 walmart put-it-together-yourself table, fully equiped with squeeky chairs and all. I can't wait to find the table of my dreams that will convince John we need a new one. And yes, that light fixture could use a face lift. ;)

so glad you got it! That is the same light we had in our town home. I always wanted it replaced too. Oh well, it could be worse, you could have antlers hanging there! Or better yet, a giant moose head staring you in the face every morning.

I love Down to Earth. It is my weakness. I want everything in there. Your table is beautiful and you will find that you love it more and more because you purchased it together.

Oh my! My eyes have never beheld anything as equally beautiful as that piece of fine workmanship! I know you're trying to be modest, but are you a craftsman in your spare time? Was it actually YOU who handcarved/whittled this table? If so, i'm impressed. :) I missed you greatly today :(

Love that table! I think it is just what I would pick if we were to get a new one :) OF COURSE I am all for a girls night out!! What do you think about going to "Witches Night out" at Gardner Village? I don't know if all the girls would be up for dressing up as witches, but either way it could be fun. Let me know what you think K! (You can go to gardnervillage.com and click on 'events' and then 'october' and read more about it) It isn't until Oct. 24th and 25th, so obviously we can do something before then! Waht ideas do you have?? Do you when JEsyka gets back from her honeymoon?

I love those tables. I was going to buy one too but chickened out. I don't know why. The light should be updated. There are really cute ones on sale all the time at Lowe's or Home Depot.

I have to say that when Doug and I moved into our home, the light was the VERY first thing that I made him change. The door bell was the next. I love your table I think it is absolutely perfect.
