Jury Duty

When I got the summons in the mail that I had been chosen to possibly appear in court for Jury Duty, I was like "UGH! Just my luck!". And considering that they chose me to come on Wednesday (yesterday) and I had the next two days off, I thought "Are you kiddin' me?....Nice!". So I went, and actually from the beginning of the day my luck was improving. I made great time with Traffic and when I arrived I was able to get parking right in front of the building. Since I knew I was going to be there awhile, I had come prepared with books, bottle water and snacks. I was there for the long haul. But as it turned out, they didn't choose me so I got to come home around 11:00am. Well, actually I went back to work, but at least now I have done my duty and they can't call on me for another two years. And to be honest, it wasn't all that bad. I just sat there and read Twilight for most of it.

Sometimes I think it would be fun to be on Jury Duty! Like when they have a big, murder mystery case like on t.v.! It's probably not fun now that I think about it, but maybe interesting would be the word?? Good job not having to stick around...at least you got 1/2 day off!

I agree with you, I think it would be interesting. The case that I would have been listening to if I had been chosen was a wreckless driving and failing to stop at a stop sign....LAME!

Glad it turned out. Sorta funny though. You didn't have to stay because you came with plenty to do.

Thats nice that they send you home. I would have hated being there all day. Good for you girl for having a good attitude about it all.

Shari berry,

Way cute blog. I miss you, I haven't seen you in a long time, we need to hang out soon. By the way, I'm a big time Edward fan & Edward in the movie is not very cute, I'm dissapointed. When is the movie coming out?
P.S.
No offense, but nobody is cuter than David Beckham (not even your Cory).. j/k. I'm jelous you got to see him play.

I've been able to get out jury dute a few times if I tell them I am breastfeeding and have children. It's an automatic dismissal. So what's up with this twilight series? Is it something I should be checking out? I am looking for a new book to kill time.
