Hike up Big Cottonwood

On Friday night Corey and I drove up Big Cottonwood canyon and went for a hike. I haven't been hiking in FOREVER, but it wasn't so bad. The sun was getting close to setting as we arrived at a good spot for Corey to pull out his scope and look for deer (the reason behind the hike). It was a beautiful view from where we were and it was very peaceful! Extremely quiet. I was getting a little nervous because of all the Bear stories you hear about. I was keeping an eye out the entire time, making sure that no bear of mountain lion were creeping up on us. Boys are so funny, I don't quite understand why they love this stuff so much. We didn't see any deer, but it was still good to get out and actually do something somewhat physical.

Fish Lake 2008

So, this past week Corey and I were in Fish Lake for the Bow Hunt!! His entire family on his Mom's side goes, and we stay in trailers and tents! The boys wake up early and go hunting, while the rest of us stay and play games, eat a TON, and go fishing! Fishing is my favorite part, although eating comes in at a close second! I probably gained 5 lbs. while I was down there, but hey it's camping! Corey didn't get a buck or an elk (thank goodness), but his brother Brad did!! It was on the second to the last day, when they told us on the walkie talkie that they got one, all I could say was "please not Corey, please not Corey". I mean I know he loves it, but he got one last year, which meant that we had to watch the video like a bazillion times, have deer meat in our freezer for a year (which stinks something fierce when it is cooked) and the antlers(is that what they are called ?!) sit in your garage forever for you to look at everytime you drive in. I know I should be more supportive, but I just don't like hunting. Anyways, so Brad got one. He took his little boy Tanner who is 8 with him. They were in the middle of the field when Tanner yells "Dad look!!!". He doesn't quite understand you need to be quiet and hold still. Surprisingly, the deer didn't move. Brad said "Don't move". He had his bow at his feet, so he bent down slowly and then shot the deer. They were pretty excited!! I have to say, I absolutely love going to Fish Lake, it is so relaxing and I love going fishing and I never thought I would say that. I even said to Corey on the last day that I wish we were going fishing. Hopefully we will go up sometime in Sept. and go fishing. All in all, it was a Blast!! It is always good to come home though.

All done!!

I finished Breaking Dawn this past week! I wasn't going to make a post about it, but I talked to a friend at church today and decided that I would. I just have to say that it was very bittersweet! Only because I was sad that it was over, but it was a great book! I don't want to say very much because I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say...WOW!! I started reading The Host, and it is very different. I have heard really good things about it so hopefully it gets better.

FOR REAL!!

AND THE WINNER IS.....JOSHUA!! Well it probably comes to no surprise that I love So You Think You Can Dance, but I do!! This season was so incredible, and there were so many amazing preformances. I never took dance, but I absolutely love it. It is such a beautiful artform, hopefully one day I can become somewhat cordinated, but I doubt it. I'm so glad that Joshua won. For being such an untrained dancer, he performed to the best of his ability, which 9 times out of 10 was better than those from that genre. Another great season, with a great outcome!!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

My cousin Kristi posted this on her blog, I didn't even realize that the movie was coming out so soon. CREEPY though!! I actually really liked this book, it was one of my favorites! It definitely looks a lot darker than the others. I don't know what it is but scary little kids creep me out.

Tag, I'm it!

I got tagged by my sister-in-law Jill, and it too is my first tag! I am supposed to list 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 current obcessions/collections and 3 surprising facts, and then tag 5 people and leave a comment on their blog so they know they're tagged!

3 Joys
1.Lauging w/ Corey (which happens alot, he is surprisingly more silly than me)
2.Being silly with my co-workers (which drives my boss crazy because it is an everyday occurance)
3.Being a part of such a wonderful family, not only mine, but Corey's as well, I am so blessed!!

3 Fears
1.That something will happen to Corey when he is traveling across the world.
2.That something will happen to Me when Corey is gone.
3.That we won't be able to have the large family that we want, but at this point 1 child would be enough.

3 Obcessions
1.No surprise here, the Twilight Series (completely obcessed, but who isn't, am I right ladies?)
2.Everything sweet, I'm not picky when it comes to candies, cakes, cookies...as long as it has sugar, I'm in!!
3.Sleeping. Whenever I have free time, I love it.

3 Surprising Facts
1.Corey and I only dated for about 3 months before we were engaged, but what can I say, he swept me off my feet!
2.I never went to college, how did I get so smart then you ask?? Just lucky I guess. I would love to go however, you can never know too much.
3.I'm a little OCD when it comes to work, but at home I am the complete opposite. It drives some of the other assistants crazy I would guess, but I just like things done a certain way, that's all. Besides, I'm #1...remember =)(inside joke)

I tag Tami, Melinda, Stephenie, Emily and Daiana!

Bear Lake Office Trip

What a week!! Corey and I went to Bear Lake with my entire office and their family's. There were about 35 of us most of the time. Everyone stayed at the KOA campground, but Corey and I were lucky enough to stay at his uncle's BEAUTIFUL cabin. It was only about 15 minutes away, so it worked out perfect. We boated everyday (except Sunday), and it was a blast. My knees, feet and shoulders got a little burned, even though I was lathering myself with sunscreen constantly. The best part of boating is the 3 man tube. What a blast...and a workout. You each have your own handles, and thank goodness for that because if you don't hold on, you are history. I couldn't stop laughing the entire time, so my abs got a pretty good workout (although you would never be able to tell). The best was after we would hit a good jump, I would look at Corey, and he would be laughing hysterically. I absolutely love the people that I work with, I am so blessed to have so many great friends, we are practically family!!
